Special dates: Blisshouse

Friday, December 6, 2013 @ 12:24 AM | 0 Comment [s]

Hi everyone!!

In my September updates post I mentioned that my boyfriend and I went on 2 special dates before he left for Australia for outfield. He's been back 1 month+ and I haven't even blogged about them :x opps. I think that these are special dates as we don't usually visit special restaurants or food outlets with creative concepts. I call these places "Instagram-worthy" LOL! The first date that I will be blogging about is the one at Blisshouse Theme Restaurant! (This is not a sponsored post!!)

The outside of Blisshouse.

Even though we came on a weekend (Sunday) while they were quite busy with their ongoing Groupon promotion, the staffs sat us down real quickly and served water shortly after handing us the menu. Super efficient!

We were both pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous design of the interior of the restaurant and amazing service from the staffs! We bought Groupon vouchers for what seemed like a great deal for lunch and totally didn't expect to step into such a dreamy fairy tale like place!

Even the menu looks like a fairy tale story book~ ♥

Huge windows to admire the beautiful view of buildings, shophouses, blue sky and fluffy clouds! ♥

My boy gave the seat facing the window to me as he knew I would wanna take photos hehe~ Love how he's thoughtful even for such small matters like this *pampered~*

How can one resist from camwhoring in such a pretty restaurant?!

Seafood soup. Tastes pretty average but ingredients were fresh. Not sure if the soup portion is actually this small or is it because it is part of the Groupon deal :(

Carbonara ($18). One of the better ones I've tried! I prefer carbonaras that are a tad saltier so this was to my liking, made perfect with bacon bits ♥♥

Linguine Vongole ($20). Only order this only if you LOVEEE the taste of fresh seafood/clams. It was a little overwhelming for me, but my boy seemed to have enjoyed it!

The prices stated are without the Groupon discount. It's a little expensive but for the amazing ambience of the place and the quality service, I say it is definitely worth it! Perfect place to go on dates or even hold parties!

It's also a splendid place for wedding photoshoots~ ♥

There's an area inside the restaurant away from the dining area that looks like where fairy tale weddings are held *o*
(Picture spam coming up!)

LOL!!

There were even wedding gowns, crowns and wands(?) as props!!

What I do with the props...

What my boyfriend does LOLOL!!

We then headed to the area near the entrance to take more photos!!

The staffs were EXTREMELY helpful when it came to helping us take photos, especially the manager!! Every single photo next is taken by the manager in charge that day, he offered to take the pictures and told us where to stand to take nicer photos and knew all the right angles!

All except this photo is taken by one of the staff. The manager took over because he knew from the angle the staff was taking from can see the fire access sign and that we should be facing the sunlight. Super helpful!!

So fairy tale like~~ Really blissful experience dining in Blisshouse ♥

**Photo taking is allowed in Blisshouse but no photography for commercial purpose is allowed

6 Eu Tong Sen Street, #03-21,
The Central, Singapore 059817
Nearest MRT: Clarke Quay

We went to hunt for dessert around The Central afterwards and stumbled across Little House of Dreams.

This place had a pretty interior too~

Cake-in-a-jar and hot chocolate topped with marshmallows~ Perfect combination.

Can't remember what I ordered exactly but I remembered the cake-in-a-jar being too sweet for me (to be fair, I'm not really a cake person), hot chocolate was not bad. A lot of the popular flavours were sold out when we got there :(

Headed to watch movie "We're the Millers" afterwards! Hung out in town till late~ Thank you bby for planning such a perfect date. ^^♥

That's all for today's update! Thanks for reading~

Signing off,
Jesslimcy.
