Some comments are such as "This one like kena laughing Gas already.. Smile until the ear" "haha.... big tummy wanna compete.....ugh" basically a lot of them are commenting that my smile is too wide and my tummy is too big. I just want to make one thing clear... THAT IS NOT MY TUMMY. THAT IS MY RIBCAGE. :( I might have arched my back a bit too much.

I am not affected by any of the mean comments, I will take note of every comment and try to improve! Such as not arching my back so much and not smiling so wide. There are a minority of nice comments and they are very much appreciated, thank you!

These are not all of the contestants, what I heard is that there will tentatively be 30~40 contestants in total and we will all first vie for the 19 finalists position before officially competing for the crown of Miss Singapore World 2013. I have not gotten through to the finalists position yet, the date for the competition is unknown too but it should be around January 2013. I will post updates on my facebook page!

Many people mix up Miss Singapore World and Miss Singapore Universe, they are two COMPLETELY different pageants. I joined Miss Singapore WORLD and not Miss Singapore Universe.

What is the difference between Miss Singapore World and Miss Singapore Universe?

-Miss Universe is American-owned whereas Miss World is British-owned.

-Miss World started earlier, in 1951 and Miss Universe in 1953.

-There is no minimum height requirement for Miss World but there is a minimum height requirement of 1.65m for Miss Universe.

Why/how did I decide to join the Miss Singapore World 2013?

I decided to join the competition spontaneously after an invitation through facebook. I wouldn't dare dream of taking part in such a large-scale pageant in the past. Ever since my freelance modeling career has been improving and since I got together with my current boyfriend, I have been gaining more confidence. Whenever I think I don't look good in a certain picture my boyfriend would always be there to assure me that I look great and there's nothing to worry about :') I have also been getting compliments that I have potential to be a good model if I continue working hard. All these love and support have given me so much more confidence. I've come to a point that I don't care about anything anyone says so I believe that I would not be affected by mean judgmental people and their comments. I think that me believing in myself and having my close friends and family's support is most important. :)

Do I think I have what it takes to be crowned Miss Singapore World 2013?

Firstly, I think every single one of the girls possesses the calibre to win this pageant. I do not believe that I am better than anyone else. Everyone is unique and has their own merits, it's a fair competition. I think winning or losing is not important, what is important is whether I have put the opportunity given into good use, the experience, the confidence I gain and the friends I make throughout the pageant. I believe that I have the qualities to be in the pageant and I will try my very best. :)
